‘Skyfall’ to Screen Free in London

Catch a free screening of ‘Skyfall’ (2012) at London’s Trafalgar Square on Friday, 27 August, 2021 as part of the ‘Back to the Big Screen‘ initiative, in partnership with the Luna Cinema.

This free, but ticketed event, has allocated 1,500 tickets per film screening, with 150 tickets being reserved for key workers. Tickets for key workers will only be available for weekend screenings. The event will featured a seated layout, with concessions available via the app.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced the ‘Back to the Big Screen’ programme, which includes six free film screenings in Trafalgar Square, in celebration of the magic of film, and to bring Londoners and visitors together in the heart of the nations capital.

Working with London’s film industry, including BFI, BAFTA and Film London, the Mayor has launched a new trailer celebrating the talent and diversity of London’s film industry and the joy of watching a film at the cinema. Featuring footage of London’s indoor and outdoor screens in unique and iconic settings, the trailer aims generate feelings of nostalgia and excitement amongst viewers, encouraging them to get back to the big screen. Each will celebrate London’s importance in the film industry, with all selected films being either made or set in London.
